firth of july 2006 demos

Posted on Friday 7 July 2006

By now you’ve heard of Lipplestock, or Lipplefest, or the Firth/Fourventh/Sorxth of July parties held on a nearly annual basis at TJ’s parent’s place in Altoona, PA. Ulf Magnet got itself together, barely, to play a few tunes this year. Here are the demos of the three originals in case you’re really jonesing for new Ulf:

This year was awesome. There was an Ulf Magnet tribute band, a Zeppelin tribute band, a performance of the Overture from Rush’s 2112 (including bathrobes), and great performances from James Merle Thomas, Shades of June, the Nub, and a bunch of of other bands that I missed when I went to go visit my parents for a few hours.

As always, thanks to the Lipples for making something awesome happen in their own backyard!
