3/16 3:45 PM CST (Central Standard Time) I-65 south to Nashville

In 20 hours we have:

  • been in NJ, PA, MD, WV, KY (soon TN).
  • been to Tudor's Biscuit World, Lincoln's Birthplace (Hodgenville, KY), Mammoth Cave Nat'l Park.

  • We slept in the car in the parking lot of the Lexington Ramada Inn last night. So far we have spent $40 on gas, $6 on biscuits, and $10 on groceries, $5 on souvenirs.

    Not shabby for 20 hours.

    Also, illegal stuff we did:

  • I touched Lincoln's childhood log cabin.
  • T.J. peed (in pretend) into Lincoln's childhood spring.

  • TJ has also run 1 stop sign and almost missed 2 traffic lights.

The south is very pretty and rural, although KY's grass isn't nearly as blue as I had expected. So far we have seen many cows and horses, two pigs, many deer, one donkey, some lambs, and a raccoon.

We're now headed to Nashville to eat some dinner, see some cool stuff, and sleep.

Oh yeah, crossing the time zone was weird.
